[INQ. NO. 1307E03] In line with the goal of promoting its products globally, JUSUNG develops and supplies thin film solar cell equipment which allows for the use of lowcost glass material, as well as crystalline solar cell equipment using wafer as raw material.
JUSUNG is already extremely competitive in PECVD equipment for large-area glass device, newer than 5th generation, as well as having a powerful TFT LCD infrastructure.
This has enable JUSUNG to effectively venture into the solar cell business which use similar hardware. JUSUNG is a pioneer of solar cell equipment though the use of its existing precision technologies used in semiconductor manufacturing and the large area wafer process technologies used in TFT LCD equipment.
JUSUNG constructed a solar cell process line in KISCO as part of turnkey project in 2008, the first in Korea. In 2009, another turnkey project was built in Jiangsu Zongyi, JUSUNG’s joint venture established in china.
As of early 2010, supply agreements have been conducted with Greenland’s New energy and HISUN and production of equipment is currently in preparation. JUSUNG also has the capability of production crystalline silicon solar cell equipment as well as thin film types.
JUSUNG has expanded to global markets including the establishment of a joint venture in China for a thin solar cell business as well as successfully supplying crystalline solar cell manufacturers in the United States. JUSUNG has also signed a new supply contract with the biggest Chinese power generation group to provide turn-key equipment for solar cells worth USD 138.82 million (about KRW 157 billion).
JUSUNG will continue to develop competitive technologies for its customers and business partners to help them minimize R&D costs and secure competitive power.
