The electroencephalogram (EEG) field is growing steadily based on various factors: the expansion of brain science research; the increase in brain-related diseases; the advancement of brainwave-based technology; the increase in neurological diseases; the aging society; and the increasing awareness of the importance of rehabilitation treatment.
In response to such demand, Bioprotech recently released high-performance medical device consumables used for diagnoses in the field of neurology, such as muscle activity (EMG), brain activity (EEG) and products for intraoperative monitoring (IOM).

Biological Bio-sensor for EMG (Electromyography)
This product is used to check the functional status of muscles and the status of normal nerve transmission. It is also used to diagnose neurological diseases, evaluate the effectiveness of muscle rehabilitation treatment, and study specific muscle activity patterns.
The measurement method varies depending on the purpose of the electromyography test, and can be divided into a non-insertion method using surface electrodes, and an insertion method using needle electrodes.

Bio-sensor for EEG
This product is used to measure the electrical activity of the brain. It records brainwaves through electrodes attached to the head, and through this, it determines the functional state and ideal activity of the brain.
This product consists of disposable and reusable measuring electrodes as shown below, tailored to each customer’s preference for safety and cost-effectiveness.

Bio-center for IOM (Intraoperative Monitoring)
This product is used to monitor specific neural structures in the central and peripheral nervous system during surgery. This type of monitoring can provide surgeons and anesthesiologists with continuous information, reducing the risk of iatrogenic damage to the patient’s nervous system.
“We are currently in discussions with a major European medical device consumables company to create a co-brand, and through this, we will increase our share in the European neurology-related diagnostic consumables market.
