4D Imaging Radar

Radar as most people know is basically used to search for objects or enemy planes, as seen in war movies, and usually detects targets by using points. However, in order to drive vehicles autonomously, drivers need to know exactly what the object is — and imaging radar makes that possible.

So, while the existing radar we call 3D only has plane coordinates x, y and velocity information (v), 4D-imaging radar processes v, in addition to the coordinates of x, y, and z. It is technology that creates imaging by creating countless point-clouds, and adds artificial intelligence (AI) technology to the created image – in order to identify the type or behavior of the object.
The CEO of the company explained, “As the technology of the product can have a ripple effect in various spaces such as healthcare, security, drones, and smartization of industrial sites, a tremendous business model could be derived through the innovative technology that creates imaging using microwaves.
