[INQ. NO. 2403E09] UMAIN Inc. is the world’s best specialist for UWB radar products, and was established in 2012. UWB is Ultra-Wideband and UMAIN’s UWB radar products follow the UWB World Standard regulations. UWB radar technology consists of pure analog technology and digital signal processing technology. It thus has high technical barriers, unlike existing UWB communication technologies.
Combining long technological developments with many consumer requirements, UMAIN will unveil “ Guardian,” the world’s first UWB radar product for consumers, at ISC WEST 2024 in Las Vegas, USA, April 9-12.

The Guardian A1 and M1 are designed for desktop installations by wall installation or using a stance holder, while the Guardian S1 is for ceiling installation. In addition, apps for Android and iPhone/iPad are also provided. By simply setting up the product through an app, even small movements and breathing signals within the sensing area can be detected and used for various kinds of monitoring in real life.
UMAIN’s UWB radar product has a radio wave output of about 1/130,000 compared to the existing 24GHz/77GHz radar and emits a very weak radio wave of 1/20,000 of the 60GHz radar. Therefore, it can be used indoors, and is the safest for the human body among all existing radar products. This is possible because the World Standard Radio Regulations, which was originally intended for indoor use, was developed on its own according to the UWB standards.

UMAIN is cooperating with a major telecommunications company in Korea to release a product for monitoring the elderly living alone, and has also developed a sleep monitoring product with a partner. Also, through a CCTV company, it is in the process of commercializing respiratory movement detection in places such as showers and changing rooms where cameras cannot be used. At the request of various other global companies, such full-fledged consumer products will be introduced at the upcoming ISC WEST 2024.
