Alcohol ignition interlock
This device is designed to prevent drunk driving by being installed in vehicles to check the driver’s blood-alcohol level, and prevent the engine from starting if the level exceeds a certain threshold. Legislation for its introduction in the Korean market is currently in progress.
It was the first in Korea and the second in the world to obtain the European drunk ignition interlock standard EN50436-1:2014 / EN 50436-2:2014, having passed a 12-month long-term reliability test.
From 2016 to 2023, it has been consistently exported to Europe and is used by European government agencies in ongoing drunk-driving prevention programs targeting repeat offenders. In addition to combating recidivist drunk driving, this product is used to prevent drunk driving in various sectors, including school buses, cargo and passenger transportation, and special-purpose vehicles.
