[INQ. NO. 2501E10] COSMOS LAB Co., Ltd., founded in 2021, is a tech startup that commercialized safe water battery cells that do not cause fire or explosion.
The lithium-ion batteries that are representative in the existing battery market have high performance, but they have structural and safety limitations such as fire risk due to explosion and ignition, and environmental pollution during the production process.
On the other hand, COSMOS LAB has successfully commercialized a product that can replace existing lithium-ion batteries by using water as an electrolyte and possessing the advantage of 100% non-ignition, and can thus deliver high performance at low temperatures (below -20˚C) and high temperatures.

COSMOS LAB’s water battery is 100% non-ignition with no risk of fire, so it is guaranteed to be safe in all living environments such as ESS, UPS, and mobility.
Through technological advancement of each material that makes up the battery, it is possible to achieve non-ignition and excellent discharge characteristics, without a temperature maintenance device, in extremely low and high temperatures.
By using recycled raw materials from waste instead of using expensive raw materials (lithium, nickel, etc.), it can be provided at a lower price than LFP/NCM, and BMS-free design is also possible, depending on the use.
COSMOS LAB can provide non-ignition batteries for small, medium, and large applications, and can be customized to the shape requested by the customer, such as square/pouch type.
