[INQ. NO. 2506E04] Since much of the equipment used in the electric power industry operates based on high complexity, a task facing the electric power industry is reducing complexity and installation area through connections between devices.
O-Sung Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. introduced the ‘OSS-ATCB,’ a low-voltage automatic transfer circuit breaker that combines an air-circuit breaker (ACB) and an automatic transfer switch (ATS), which were previously used separately in the electric power industry — at the 2025 International Electric Power Exhibition 2025 (EPTK) held at COEX in Seoul from May 14 to 16.
The OSS-ATCB adopts a single driving mechanism to perform power cutoff and transfer at the same time, and structurally prevents repeated power supply or interference for two pieces of equipment. In addition, it provides a draw-out type for easy maintenance and minimizes power outage time.
In addition, it includes an overcurrent relay to automatically cut off when an abnormal current occurs, and protects the load equipment through an electrical and mechanical interlock structure. It reduces the size of the distribution board by up to 50%, and reduces the busbars.
According to O-Sung Electric Machinery, low-voltage automatic transfer circuit breakers are easy to use in public institutions, large buildings, industrial plants, and computer centers where the stability of power supply is important.
O-Sung Electric Machinery succeeded in the localization of its air circuit breaker (ACB) and automatic transfer switch (ATS) products during the time when Korea used to completely rely on imports.
Since 1995, O-Sung Electric Machinery has been supplying more stable-quality products by establishing an ISO-certified system, and it competes with global companies by acquiring ASTA, CE, and CB certifications.
“We mainly produce low-voltage ACB and ATS. We have recently localized the ATS of important specifications, such as ATCB, CTTS, and bypass ATS, and we produce economical and high-efficiency products and supply them to major government offices and large buildings for stable operation,” remarked a spokesperson for the company.
