[INQ. NO. 2504E11] RoBocare, a specialized care robot company, participated in MVEX 2025 (Metaverse Expo) held at COEX in Seoul on June 18~20, and introduced the block-based cognitive improvement care robot, Bomi 1.
Bomi1 was developed for the purpose of improving the cognitive abilities of the elderly. Users can match letters or connect numbers using blocks with built-in magnets, and the activity of using their hands simultaneously induces fine motor skills and cognitive stimulation.
The robot is equipped with 10 types of block-based and touch-based contents, and the difficulty level is divided into 10 levels. All contents were jointly developed by RoBocare and professors of neurology at a university hospital, and individual difficulty levels can be set through a pre-test that evaluates cognitive status before use.
It also has a built-in RGBD camera, which can measure biometric data such as pulse rate, breathing, and heart health.
A spokesperson for the company explained, “Bomi1 is currently being used in senior welfare centers, senior centers, dementia centers, etc., and recently, it is also being tested in educational institutions for the developmentally impaired, such as special schools.”
