Thermocouple Extension Cables
Extension cables are manufactured from conductors having the same nominal composition as those of the corresponding thermocouples. On the contrary, compensating cables are manufactured from conductors having a composition different from the corresponding thermocouple. The thermoelectric properties of both the cables are close to the properties of the corresponding thermocouple. Furthermore, they are also used for a variety of environmental conditions requiring heat-, cold-, and chemical-resistance, as well as oil- and damp-proof properties. Their insulation and sheath materials can be changed.
