Since 1974, Taihan Fiberoptics has led the domestic optical cable industry through vertical integration, producing every stage from preform to cable, and is the first company in Korea to do so.
Taihan Fiberoptics manufactures high-quality products at its preform and fiber plant in Ansan, Korea, as well as its cable plant in Yesan, Korea.
Also, with an offshore fiber optic cable factory in Grapevine, Texas, USA, in 2014, the company has offered high-end fiber optic cables meeting “the Build America Buy America (BABA)” requirements of “the Broadband Equity, Access, and Development (BEAD) Program.”
Among Taihan Fiberoptics’ latest product portfolio are loose tube, drop, ribbon, micro module, uni tube, all-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS), optical fiber composite overhead ground wire (OPGW), and conductor-type cables. To better meet the diverse needs of overseas buyers, the maker also provides various types of connectivity, such as set-top box (STB) and fiber terminal box (FTB).

Featuring low attenuation and superior-bending insensitive properties, the company’s ANYWAVE® optical fiber offers large mode field diameter (MFD). Fully compatible with Corning’s SMF-28® Ultra Fiber, it provides similar performance.

Loose Tube Armored
Widely applicable for aerial, duct and direct buried deployment, the company’s loose tube armored cables with a fiber count of up to 288F are available.

Mini Flat Drop Cables
Mini flat drop cables from the maker are divided into toneable- and non-toneable-types and are suitable for fiber to the x (FTTx) applications.

OPGW Fiber Optic Cables
Offering the combined functions of high-voltage overhead power lines’ grounding cables and fiber optic cables, the company’s OPGW fiber optic cables are available in various types, including non-metallic, aluminum clad, and stainless steel loose tube (SSLT) ones.
