[INQ. NO. 2510E08] FRT Robotics Co., Ltd. is a specialty wearable robot company that provides a worker safety management data platform – based upon the development and manufacturing of industrial exoskeleton muscle support wearable robots.
FRT Robotics’ wearable robot ‘Step-Up’ can prevent musculoskeletal disorders by assisting muscle strength when carrying heavy loads. A Serial Elastic Actuator (SEA) is attached to the waist to support and assist human muscle strength. Based on about 15kg of back muscle support, muscle fatigue can be reduced by about 40%.
Step-Up is manufactured in the form of an exoskeleton that operates through mutual cooperation between human and robot, allowing natural movement even when being worn. Predictive technology that uses a reinforcement learning algorithm to identify user intent and status was also applied.
Step-Up is equipped with a monitoring function that can manage the working environment and worker status in real time using 5th-generation (5G) mobile communication. The safety sensor mounted on the robot recognizes oxygen saturation and flammable gases in the workplace, enabling rapid response to safety accidents. This not only prevents worker injuries but also increases working life.

Step-Up, a wearable robot introduced by FRT Robotics, is aimed at assisting workers who have to move heavy objects in factories. It is a robot that can prevent musculoskeletal diseases by assisting muscle strength. Wearing it on the waist can reduce muscle fatigue by about 40%. Visitors to the exhibition booth showed great interest in preventing worker injuries and improving safety.
A spokesperson for the company proudly demonstrated, “We are supplying robots to large domestic battery material companies and global distributors. FRT Robotics’ wearable robot is the first domestic wearable robot to be selected as a procurement innovation product.”
