[INQ. NO. 2511E06] SRV Positioning, a company specializing in Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless communication technology solutions, recently introduced its UWB wearable solution at KES 2025, held in Seoul.
UWB is a short-range wireless-communication method based on high frequencies. Similar to Bluetooth, it operates in the gigahertz (GHz) frequency range, offering a longer range than Bluetooth, which operates in the 2,400–2,483 MHz range.
The company’s solution consists of a wearable device and an anchor. It can monitor the wearer’s health status, including heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and step count, in real time. The applied UWB technology provides location accuracy within 10 cm, even indoors.
A company spokesperson explained, “We are developing this solution for environments that require accurate physical data, such as athletes and hospitalized patients. It can also be used for health monitoring of single-person households, and safety monitoring in industrial settings.”

The spokesperson added, “Until now, UWB has had the limitation of requiring triangulation to determine location, using three anchors. However, recent technological advancements have made location determination possible with just one anchor. We plan to expand our range of solutions for tracking people and managing assets using UWB technology.”
SRV Positioning is a startup that uses UWB technology to monitor the health of users requiring real-time care, such as the elderly and patients, and to address the issues of lonely deaths and emergencies.
SRV Positioning develops UWB wireless communication technology ranging from software to hardware. The company possesses deep-tech sensors, difficult for small manufacturers to develop, and has achieved body signal data accuracy comparable to that of wearable devices from major companies.
SRV Positioning sees UWB technology as a viable solution for real-time safety management solutions for seniors living alone and those with chronic illnesses, driven by an aging population and increasing numbers of isolated households.
