Winning three Innovation Awards
[INQ. NO. 2601E03] NEWJAK, a company specializing in realistic XR content, has won three Innovation Awards at CES 2026, the world’s largest IT and consumer electronics show, held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 6 to 9 this year.
NEWJAK’s flagship XR board game, SPORTRACK (a headset-free XR board game), as well as several other new technologies, simultaneously won awards, once again demonstrating its global competitiveness in the category of K-content XR sector.
NEWJAK previously won two Innovation Awards at CES 2025 for its XR platform, X-Runner. At CES 2026, NEWJAK surpassed that achievement by winning multiple awards for two consecutive years. Notably, the company achieved not only technological excellence but also content and entertainment value by delivering a headset-free XR experience.
This product is a realistic board game that introduces a new concept called ‘headset-free XR,’ transcending the limitations of existing Metaverses and VR, which rely on head-mounted displays (HMDs).

SPORTRACK is played on a modular board comprised of 16 themed ‘Sports Islands.’ Players roll dice to move the islands, engaging in full-body XR experiences like stretching, fitness, and cooperative missions. Going beyond a simple game, its reward-based design motivates participants and maximizes immersion.
Notably, this system combines spatial sensors, vision analysis, and a real-time interactive interface to create an intelligent XR environment where the background, difficulty, and progression speed automatically adjust — based on the user’s movements and reactions. This allows users to experience immersive XR in real-world spaces without the need for wearable equipment, and also enables cross-regional multiplayer connectivity.
NEWJAK plans to develop SPORTRACK into a realistic content platform for use in schools, fitness centers, and public experience spaces.
“SPORTRACK goes beyond simple gaming and presents a new paradigm for learning, health, and play culture that combines digital immersion and real-world movement. We will create an inclusive XR ecosystem that is easily accessible and enjoyable for everyone,” remarked a spokesperson for the company.
In the second half of this year, NEWJAK plans to sequentially open XR experiential pop-up stores in major European and Asian cities, including Berlin and Tokyo — with an aim to launch customized B2B solutions for corporate clients. Through these initiatives, the company aims to move beyond short-term exhibition-focused promotions and make a full-fledged transition to an experiential content business.
