[INQ. NO. 2603E10] SAMICK THK Co., Ltd. exhibited the NX-mobile AMR, an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) that combines a multi-joint robot with a humanoid-shape at SEMICON KOREA 2026.
The product performs various tasks based on a multi-joint robot. Two cameras mounted on the robot head provide three-dimensional perception of the surrounding environment, while hand cameras at the end of each joint capture the shape of the workpiece. Based on this information, the AMR can perform autonomous operations, such as loading items into empty spaces in a storage bin or, conversely, checking the location and retrieving items.
The AMR features a lifting axis that moves the robot up and down, allowing it to flexibly adjust its position to the height of the workpiece. It is also equipped with various sensors and scanners for safety. Furthermore, the built-in pneumatic device generates the compressed air required for robot operation without the need for separate equipment.
A spokesperson for the company explained, “It can be used in environments requiring organization or frequent material transport,” adding, “We are continuing to develop various robot and automation solutions with the goal of becoming a company that provides full-cycle smart factory solutions.”
