AI Breaker Solution

https://korean-electronics.com//inquiry

[INQ. NO. 2404E03] Artificial intelligence (AI) is also being introduced in the field of social safety, and ‘smart cities’ are being created everywhere.
Amano Korea Co., Ltd. introduced an AI breaker solution at SECON 2024. This solution is based on AI object- and person- detection technology installed in CCTV. First, when a pedestrian traffic light shows a red no-walking signal, the blocking bar operates to block traffic. If a pedestrian attempts to jaywalk, the system recognizes the movement and issues a warning through a speaker.
The same applies to vehicles. When the traffic light changes to yellow, it recognizes vehicles approaching the crosswalk and sends out the same warning broadcast.
The solution comes in the form of two products –a product that includes a traffic light, and another that only has a blocking function, so it can be used according to conditions such as around existing traffic lights or for new installations.
A spokesperson for the company explained, “We applied the know-how gained from developing and operating existing parking control solutions,” adding “It is a solution that goes beyond security to provide protection. We plan to supply it to local governments starting this year, targeting places where parents and guardians need to walk, including children’s protection areas.”

Founded in 1996 as a Korean subsidiary of Amano, a global parking company, Amano Korea has succeeded in localizing 100% of its parking-control products, and exports its products and solutions to Japan, Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
In particular, it provides the best parking solution created by combining Japanese mechanical technology with Korean IT technology. Amano Korea’s competitiveness and differentiation strategy are the hardware with the best safety and durability, and the system with the best software specialized in the field.
Smart technology-oriented changes are taking place in parking lots such as parking control systems, parking guidance/video location systems, and camera-based security solutions. Amano Korea is leading the market based on its technology to develop and produce all these systems, and is developing various related businesses, including smart parking systems, with parking lots as a platform.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Solution

https://korean-electronics.com//inquiry

[INQ. NO. 2404E02] DEEPNOI’s artificial intelligence (AI) security solution is software that detects registered items by introducing an artificial intelligence reading system (S/W) to X-ray equipment. DEEPNOI provides ‘SkyMARU DEEP:SECURITY,’ an automatic aviation-security X-ray reading solution, and ‘DEEP:Security,’ an automatic corporate-security X-ray reading solution.

SkyMARU DEEP:SECURITY: Aviation security X-ray automatic reading solution
SkyMARU DEEP:SECURITY was developed jointly with the Korea Airports Corporation and assists security personnel in visual reading by quickly and accurately detecting prohibited items on board. It detects more than 20 types of items prohibited from being carried on board as notified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT). DEEPNOID has actual references for the detected items – in collaboration with the Korea Airports Corporation.

DEEP:Security: Corporate security X-ray automatic-reading solution
DEEP:Security uses AI to automatically identify items at risk of information leaks, such as USBs, smartphones, and storage devices, when passing through security checkpoints, and thus assists security guards in their reading tasks. It is easy to apply to fields that require security upon entry, such as institutions and private companies. Excellent scalability allows users to add or delete desired detection-items according to companies’ characteristics.
When passing through the security checkpoint, AI automatically detects hidden items in the bag. The location of the dangerous items is displayed in the shape of a box, and a related message alert notifies you of the item. The two solutons detect a bag quickly in continuous baggage video with a cycle of one second per bag image, and consistently provides reading accuracy at a high level of approximately 95%. This makes it possible to build an efficient security workflow.

DEEPNOID Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in AI software. The company was listed on the KOSDAQ in 2021 in recognition of its expertise and technology in the AI field based on its excellent R&D capabilities.
DEEPNOID is carrying out business in various areas such as smart factory and medical care, starting with the security AI industry – under the vision of ‘Through AI, We make your life wider, bolder and clearer.’

UWB Radar Product

https://korean-electronics.com//inquiry

[INQ. NO. 2403E09] UMAIN Inc. is the world’s best specialist for UWB radar products, and was established in 2012. UWB is Ultra-Wideband and UMAIN’s UWB radar products follow the UWB World Standard regulations. UWB radar technology consists of pure analog technology and digital signal processing technology. It thus has high technical barriers, unlike existing UWB communication technologies.
Combining long technological developments with many consumer requirements, UMAIN will unveil “ Guardian,” the world’s first UWB radar product for consumers, at ISC WEST 2024 in Las Vegas, USA, April 9-12.

The Guardian A1 and M1 are designed for desktop installations by wall installation or using a stance holder, while the Guardian S1 is for ceiling installation. In addition, apps for Android and iPhone/iPad are also provided. By simply setting up the product through an app, even small movements and breathing signals within the sensing area can be detected and used for various kinds of monitoring in real life.
UMAIN’s UWB radar product has a radio wave output of about 1/130,000 compared to the existing 24GHz/77GHz radar and emits a very weak radio wave of 1/20,000 of the 60GHz radar. Therefore, it can be used indoors, and is the safest for the human body among all existing radar products. This is possible because the World Standard Radio Regulations, which was originally intended for indoor use, was developed on its own according to the UWB standards.

UMAIN is cooperating with a major telecommunications company in Korea to release a product for monitoring the elderly living alone, and has also developed a sleep monitoring product with a partner. Also, through a CCTV company, it is in the process of commercializing respiratory movement detection in places such as showers and changing rooms where cameras cannot be used. At the request of various other global companies, such full-fledged consumer products will be introduced at the upcoming ISC WEST 2024.

4D Imaging Radar

https://korean-electronics.com//inquiry

[INQ. NO. 2403E07] Smart Radar Systems has recently developed amazing advanced technology needed for autonomous driving, helping Korean companies to confidently create innovations that the world needs, like targeting global companies in Israel and Silicon Valley.
And since such innovations by Smart Radar Systems created in this way can become the foundation for other innovations, there is a great technological synergy effect, making it a company with a brighter future than the present.
Radar as most people know is basically used to search for objects or enemy planes, as seen in war movies, and usually detects targets by using points. However, in order to drive vehicles autonomously, drivers need to know exactly what the object is — and imaging radar makes that possible.

So, while the existing radar we call 3D only has plane coordinates x, y and velocity information (v), 4D-imaging radar processes v, in addition to the coordinates of x, y, and z. It is technology that creates imaging by creating countless point-clouds, and adds artificial intelligence (AI) technology to the created image – in order to identify the type or behavior of the object.
The CEO of the company explained, “As the technology of the product can have a ripple effect in various spaces such as healthcare, security, drones, and smartization of industrial sites, a tremendous business model could be derived through the innovative technology that creates imaging using microwaves. And also there is an advantage in being able to grow related companies.”
