[INQ. NO. 2506E02] STRA, a voice synthesis AI specialist company, recently introduced its AI dubbing solution, ‘STRA AI,’ at a local exhibition.
AI dubbing, the core function of STRA AI, automatically converts voice into text, and creates a dubbed video when the user uploads a video file and selects the language to be translated. The translated sentences can be edited by the user, and the voice is naturally produced in a foreign language while maintaining the speaker’s tone and emotions. It currently supports 32 languages.
In addition, STRA AI provides a ‘voice cleaning’ function that synthesizes voice based on the user’s voice sample, and an automatic generation function for YouTube subtitle files (SRT).
Kim Yong-ho, CEO of STRA, explained, “While Asia uses a lot of subtitles, Europe and South America still prefer dubbed contents. If creators or companies are using AI dubbing, they can produce multilingual contents without separate recording equipment.”

He added, “OTT companies can also use AI to edit specific lines without re-dubbing, so it is highly utilized.”
Currently, STRA is supplying solutions to short-form drama production companies, K-pop entertainment companies, etc. Inquiries are also being received from public institutions, educational institutions, and the game industry.
CEO Kim remarked, “We recently signed an MOU with AD Sound, a voice actor recording company. We plan to secure a license to use real voice actors’ voices, and our goal is to secure around 100 voice actors’ voices within this year.”
Meanwhile, STRA expanded its scope from its existing B2B-centered delivery service to a B2C service for general creators by officially launching its website in March this year.
