[INQ. NO. 2601E07] Daedong Robotics, an AI robotics company within the Daedong Group, recently announced that its divot repair AI robot for golf courses, DivotFix, jointly developed with HL Group, won a CES 2026 Innovation Award.
DivotFix is an intelligent autonomous robot that detects damaged areas of grass (divots) that occur during play on a golf course using vision AI and LiDAR, and then uses a quantitative spraying system to inject and repair divot sand.
With the development of DivotFix, Daedong Robotics is expanding its robotics portfolio, which primarily focuses on agriculture, into outdoor service robots for leisure, sports, and public infrastructure.

“Our DivotFix’s winning of a CES 2026 Innovation Award is the result of Daedong Group’s technological prowess being recognized once again on the global stage, following our AI-based cultivator’s winning of an Innovation Award in 2025. We will continue to develop intelligent robots specialized for various outdoor tasks such as our DivotFix — with an aim to expand our presence in global markets,” explained the company’s CEO.
After commercialization of the robot, Daedong Robotics expects to create synergies by combining the golf-course sales network of its parent company DaedongMobility with HL D&I Halla’s experience in golf-course maintenance.
Daedong Robotics was established as a subsidiary of the Daedong Group, dedicated to pioneering AI-enhanced robotic solutions. Since its founding in 1947, the Daedong Group has led the way in smart agriculture, gaining global recognition under the KIOTI brand.
DaedongRobotics aims to integrate AI robotics with Daedong’s advanced agricultural technologies, such as autonomous tractors and precision farming, while leveraging Daedong’s extensive global marketing expertise to become a leading AI robotics company on the global stage.
Daedong Robotics strives to improve people’s quality of life, foster a more efficient and sustainable ecosystem, and ultimately lead the way into a future where robotics seamlessly integrates into human society. In this way, it aims to create a smarter, more sustainable future for agriculture through AI and robotics.

[INQ. NO. 2510E07] AETECH Co., Ltd. was established in May 2020 with the mission of ‘a company that creates a smart city where robots sort waste.’
AETECH developed the artificial intelligence (AI) robot ‘Atron’ for waste sorting work and succeeded in commercializing it for the first time in Korea. At present, it has installed more than 12 Atrons in domestic recycling sorting facilities.
Atron is a solution that revolutionizes the waste industry by automating the process of manually sorting recyclables. As its next business model, AETECH plans to build an unmanned-robot resource recovery center, and to develop a waste sorting system for apartment complexes. AETECH is leading the waste industry with technological advancement and creativity.

Waste Resource Sorting AI Robot
Atron is a waste resource sorting AI robot. This robot adopts the automatic method in which a robot arm accurately and quickly classifies waste selected by AI that has learned more than 2.6 million pieces of field data. The overall structure consists of five parts: recognition department; analysis department; surveillance department; selection department; and conversion department. Atron’s robot arm is a blower method that uses pneumatics, allowing for faster work, sorting 96 recycling items per minute. The robot comes in two models: Single Atron with one arm, and Dual Atron with two arms.

Recognition accuracy is 99.3%, and up to 46 types are classified by adding material and color criteria for the seven types of target waste (PET, PE, PP, PS, glass, cans, etc.). In particular, adaptive control that reflects the physical properties and condition of the waste is possible, allowing the recycling rate to be maximized. Another advantage is that it is manufactured based on original technology from hardware to software, so it can be customized according to the actual work site environment.
When introduced, customers can see a 240% increase in waste-sorting speed and a 266% reduction in sorting costs compared to existing manual sorting methods. The daily carbon footprint per one unit of the product is reduced by 860kg.
