Corrugated Optic Duct (COD) & Micro Duct & Flexible Coiled Duct (FEP)

[INQ. NO. 2410E29] Iteco’s three duct products – Corrugated Optic Duct (COD); Micro Duct; and Flexible Coiled Duct (FEP) – are mostly used to protect various duct cables like optical cables, metallic telephone cables, and electric power cables.
The spiral-shaped corrugation gives ①Much higher resistance against outer strong pressure or impact; ②easy duct installation; ③a long lifecycle of 50~100 years; ④easy maintenance, etc. The inner duct consisting of ⑤multi-subduct channels, from 2 to 24 subducts, helps users to easily identify the applied cable types. Furthermore, having silicone coated inner sub-ducts gives ⑥higher protection when air blowing or manually pulling the cable through the duct (less cable friction).

Also ⑦long delivery units such as 100m, 500m, 600m, 1000m, 1500m, and 2000m for each roll are available. The compressive load of COD is in excess of ⑧2,500N-4,000N, while the traditional duct is around 450N. The strength of COD guarantees 100% safety against earthquakes. In the UK, a motorway company calculated that COD can be installed up to 20~30 times faster than traditional duct.
They estimated an overall cost-reduction of 60-70% in installation costs, and faster installation, lesser joints throughout the installation; and shallower trenches (50cm) provide a reduction in health and safety risks of up to 60-89%.
