Boosted by continuous release of market-leading competitive export items

Korea’s exports continued to grow for three consecutive months despite changes in the trade landscape, led by the United States.
Last month’s exports were the highest-ever for April. They increased by $370 million from the previous record of $57.84 billion in April 2022.
The export boom was led by semiconductors, the largest export item. Semiconductor exports recorded the highest-ever April performance, at $11.7 billion, as the fixed price of DRAM (DDR4 8Gb) rebounded for the first time in 12 months since April 2024, and high value-added memory exports such as high-bandwidth memory (HBM) continued to boom. This is a 17.2% increase compared to the same month last year.

Wireless communication device exports also continued to increase for the third consecutive month, recording $1.5 billion, up 26.5%, led by smartphone exports ($400 million, +61.1%).
Bio-health exports increased 14.6% year-on-year to $1.4 billion. Bio-pharmaceutical exports ($900 million, +21.8%) increased significantly.

Promising Korean exporters developing and releasing competitive new items
Promising Korean exporters are continuing to actively challenge overseas markets to gradually increase their export growth in the second quarter of this year – through strategically developing and releasing new items that are expected to be highly competitive in global markets.
Microsystems recently showcased a security camera at a domestic exhibition made with its electronic self-cleaning glass technology that can overcome the limitations of current security cameras.
AnyAble recently introduced a 3D printer that applies 3DPE technology at a local exhibition.
Hanguk Mold, which participated in INTERMOLD KOREA 2025, introduced a mold products surface-temperature management system. It is a solution that measures the surface temperature of a mold with a thermal-imaging camera and converts it into data.

Korean Exporters Introducing Attractive Export Items, Recording Continuous Positive Export Performance

https://korean-electronics.com//inquiry

Korea’s exports in April recorded a double-digit increase. It has been ‘export-plus’ for seven months. This is thanks to the increase in exports of key items such as semiconductors, automobiles, etc.
In particular, semiconductor exports surged 56% compared to the same month last year. By country, exports to the United States reached an all-time high. The trade balance has also been in surplus for 11 consecutive months since June of last year.

Information and communication-related items such as semiconductors, displays, computers, and wireless communication devices recorded positive scores for all items for two consecutive months. Combined exports also achieved the highest growth rate of 46.6% this year and continued to increase for six consecutive months.
Korean exporters are continuously seeking to expand their business territories with market-leading export items ― and thus to elevate their global awareness in world markets.
ChoisTechnology launched a new model, XPM180Y, which contains only the necessary functions and is easy to use. The product has been improved so that anyone can use it easily and conveniently with simple instructions.

ESTsoft introduced PERSO LIVE, a generative (interactive) AI assistant service that combines ChatGPT with AI Human at the recently held 2024 World IT Show (WIT).
ONYCOM, INC recently unveiled ‘WPM’, a web-performance monitoring solution product of IMQA, a front-end performance management solution at the WIT.
At WIS, SKIA introduced SKIA_OPD, which uses augmented reality (AR) to educate patients about pathological phenomena, surgery, and progress. SKIA_OPD is an AR solution that reconstructs 2D medical images that can only be viewed on a monitor into 3D, and projects them onto the patient’s body in real time. It can accurately show the location of the CT being viewed and the shape and location of areas of interest, such as internal organs, bones, lesions, and blood vessels.
At CES 2024, Marketone introduced its hovering holographic product line that was completed through these efforts. Its outstanding characteristic is that it maximizes the versatility of the technology and products by upgrading the existing holographic technology, and supports the expression of images and interactions as if floating in the air, regardless of location or environment.

Electrocardiogram Measuring Equipment

https://korean-electronics.com//inquiry

[INQ. NO. 2404E13] VUNO, Korea’s representative medical AI company, recently showcased the prototype of its kiosk-type electrocardiogram measuring equipment, Hativ K30, for the first time at KIMES 2024. The instrument is slated to be officially launched in the latter half of this year.
VUNO is working to build a healthcare ecosystem that connects individuals and hospitals by continuously expanding the scope of its chronic disease management brand, Hativ.
In January 2023, VUNO launched ‘Hativ,’ its chronic illness management brand consisting of three at-home-use medical devices including an electrocardiogram measurement medical device, blood pressure measurement device, and thermometer ― as well as a health monitoring mobile application. This is an example of how the company has expanded its business scope to B2C (Business to consumer).

Its flagship product, ‘Hativ P30,’ is a home ECG measurement medical device that analyzes ECG data and provides analysis results such as normal rhythm, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, and tachycardia. The product is small and portable, so it can easily measure heart signals anytime, anywhere within 30 seconds. The analysis results can be checked at a glance through the ‘Hativ Care’ app.
In addition, since it enables 6-lead precise measurement, it is easy to use compared to the 12-lead measurement method used at hospitals where electrocardiogram is measured by attaching 10 electrodes to the body. When compared to smart watches and other wearable devices that use a single-lead method, ‘Hativ P30’ provides more accurate information.
Through participating in KIMES 2024, VUNO showcased ‘Hativ K30,’ a kiosk-type electrocardiogram measurement device for hospitals and public institutions. This model which will be officially launched in the latter half of 2024 enables precise measurement with the 6-lead method and offers real-time measurement results, just like ‘Hativ P30.’
Through participating in KIMES 2024, VUNO aimed to expand its ‘Hativ’ portfolio and to expand the market for medical devices for electrocardiogram measurement from home to specialized institutions.
