Korea will have its own exhibition hall at IFA NEXT at the International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA) 2024, to be held September 6 to 10 in Berlin, Germany, showcasing 20 carefully selected domestic startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that show outstanding potential in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, the Internet of Things (IoT), sustainability, and home appliances.
Korea has been selected as the official innovation partner country for the IFA NEXT 2024 Startup Platform. Now in its 21st year, the event focuses on next-generation technologies from startups and innovative companies.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of IFA, making Korea’s participation as an official IFA NEXT innovation partner country even more meaningful. Korean SMEs and startups have been actively participating in IFA since 2003.
IFA NEXT is the center of future technologies at IFA, offering a sneak peek into innovations in AR, VR, XR, digital health, AI, IoT, and smart home appliances. Last year, more than 350 startups from 38 countries participated in IFA NEXT, and more than 400 investors from 56 countries invested €580 billion (approximately KRW 830 trillion) in assets under management (AUM).

The Korea Pavilion at IFA NEXT will offer visitors the opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology products that Korea is proud of. In addition, this international platform at IFA allows participants to exchange innovative ideas and build networks with global partners. Most of the Korean companies participating in the IFA NEXT Pavilion are startups founded in the past five years, and each plan to showcase their unique products and technologies.

The 100th anniversary IFA will take place across 190,000 square meters at the iconic Messe Berlin, illuminating the cutting edge of consumer and consumer electronics. To mark the 100th anniversary of IFA this year, the event will kick off with a spectacular gala, followed by a keynote address by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. There will also be a range of pop-ups, networking events and parties planned throughout Berlin.
