Kaonmedia’s set-top box M280 is a platform designed as an advanced high-definition home gateway solution for satellite operators across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It is designed for convergence products to deliver content in the home to various media devices, like smartphones and tablets. The platform combines WAN, WiFi with advanced STB which supports multiple tuners, transcoding and DLNA to support client devices. This is designed to upgrade hardware capability to interface external HDD, video bridge, PLC and MoCA based home networking module. The client is just MoCA or Ethernet or WiFi based clients with lower prices than advanced STB, but also it can share all gateway features. OoS, remote management system (RMS) and easy UI/Ux are key features. The RCU over WiFi can support various features such smart RCU(Voice searching, app for remote UI).
