KOC’s ASF Agitator is a compact, Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW)-based mixing device designed to rapidly and uniformly agitate small volumes of liquid samples.

SAW elements integrated into replaceable tips directly deliver acoustic energy to the liquid to form a strong acoustic flow, thereby enabling effective mixing without relying on conventional orbital shaking methods.
The ASF Agitator can be applied to common laboratory vessels such as microwell plates and vials, supporting various research environments including sample pretreatment, reagent dissolution, biochemical reactions, and microprocess development.
Under evaluation conditions, it achieved mixing within less than 10 seconds ‒ while with conventional shakers it takes over 60 minutes. However, actual performance may vary depending on sample properties, volume, and operating conditions.

By concentrating energy delivery on the required areas, it increases reaction speed and operational precision, and allows for the efficient processing of limited sample volumes. Moreover, its portable, handheld design eliminates the need for a separate, large installation space, thus allowing for flexible operation on individual workstations.
