[INQ. NO. 2507E13] RhinOS, Inc., a care robot specialist, participated in the Clean Korea Show 2025 held at COEX in Seoul, and introduced the AI cleaning robot Wheelie J40 that features its own inter-floor movement technology.
Wheelie J40 is a cleaning robot equipped with AI-based image-recognition technology and autonomous driving function. It recognizes dust and trash on the floor with a built-in camera and automatically cleans it. The company operates two models (J40-W, and J40-S) that can be selected according to the type of flooring, so it can cope with various environments.
The J40-W model is equipped with two scrubbing brushes and is suitable for cleaning a wide range of carpets. On the other hand, the J40-S is equipped with an automatic cleaning roller mop and is used for cleaning general flooring such as marble floors.
RhinOS introduced the inter-floor movement function by applying its self-developed rEMS (elevator-utilization movement system) to this product. The Wheelie J40 moves autonomously to the front of the elevator. After that, it communicates with the elevator cloud system through the robot server to exchange boarding and movement commands.
The company spokesperson explained, “Each elevator company has a different system, but basically, the robot summons the elevator through the server, boards it, and moves between floors autonomously.”
The company’s CEO revealed his outlook for the growth of the cleaning robot market, “The cleaning robot market in Japan is around 8,000 units per year, and in Korea, it was around 1,000 units last year, but it is expected to reach double that this year,” adding, “Companies that were hesitant to introduce it are gradually expanding its use after seeing cases of introduction of the cleaning robots by other companies.”
Starting with cleaning robots, the company plans to expand its diverse robot product line that incorporates AI technology, such as patrol robots while expanding its robot portfolio in earnest after completing development of the cleaning robot series.
