[INQ. NO. 2306E01] Huvitz Corp., a company specializing in optical medical devices, recently launched Lilivis Print, a dental 3D printer optimized for the dental market.
This product is a 3D printer applying ‘Masked Stereolithography (MSLA)’ using high-resolution LCD and high-efficiency LED. It is faster than the existing SLA method because it hardens on a surface-by-surface basis during lamination using an LED light source. In addition, by applying an aspheric Fresnel lens, pending patent application, it is possible to achieve ultra-high-speed precision output within 10 minutes by increasing optical straightness and minimizing distortion.

In particular, the durability of the equipment is enhanced by installing the self-developed ‘Lilivis Smart Adaptive (LSA) system.’ The adaptive LED individual control automatically selects and uses only the necessary LEDs to prevent panel damage, and through responsive position correction, fatigue accumulation of LEDs, films, and LCD panels is reduced to enhance durability and realize the best output quality.
The company explains that it has completely eliminated the LCD panel durability problem, which is a disadvantage of existing MSLA (LCD)-type 3D printers.
In addition, various user-friendly functions are provided including: automatic temperature correction function; LED indicator status display; 7-inch large touch screen; and manager software.
A spokesperson for the company explained, “It is a 3D printer applied with our 25 years of optical, processing, and design technology know-how, and it is a product optimized for the dental chairside. As the field of 3D printing in dentistry is expanding recently, we aim to establish ‘Lilivis Print’ as a key digital dentistry solution representing the dental world.”

[INQ. NO. 2209E16] Established in 2000, Carima Co., Ltd. is a specialized 3D printer manufacturer in South Korea. The company has been growing to the extent that it is being introduced as an excellent global player every year in Wohler’s Report, which provides analyses of additive manufacturing.

Carima adopted the DLP 3D printing method that uses a digital projector screen to flash an image of a layer across the entire platform, curing all points simultaneously. So the precision is remarkable and printing speed is also faster compared to other methods, so it helps to minimize production time and keep costs down.

IMD is optimized for dentistry that requires fast printing, high-precision, and excellent repeatability, as the best Dental 3D Printer. And it enables dentists to print Dental Prosthesis such as modeling, C&B, S/G, and dentures with its one-stop service. Also, it features compatibility with most materials of other companies as one of the features.

Since its release, about three hundred units have been delivered to Korea’s most famous implant company from 2018-2019. And Carima has continuously been supplying more than a hundred units to around six overseas markets including two major Japanese dental companies. This shows that the quality is unrivaled and the reason why Carima is widely acknowledged as the best player in the world 3D printer market.

As a successful case, IMD has been used for mass-production of 15,000 Nasal Swabs per day by one of its U.S. partners. As such, it is widely used not only for dental purposes, but also for other sectors of the medical industry.

DM400A is a top-down DLP 3D printer with a dual 2K light engine. This high definition doubles down on resolution and makes it possible to cover a large build area (400 x 330 x 500mm), so mass-production application is thus achievable. It can also 3D print larger, heavier parts than small models with very low failure rates thanks to its top-down configuration.

Carima has proved the excellent printing quality of DM400A after many years of continuous R&D with its U.S. partner. Consequently, six units have been supplied to the world’s leading manufacturer of mattresses, and to clients in aerospace and defense parts industries, and the company is negotiating an additional contract within this year.

In addition, while the controversy surrounding the harmfulness of 3D printing materials has once again come to the fore, Carima recently has developed non-toxic CMYK resin as the solution. In particular, it has been tested and classified as a non-irritant and no harmful chemical substances were detected, which makes it suitable for educational use and printing figures and toys safely.

Carima provides total solutions in order to meet customers’ needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Dental 3D Printer

https://korean-electronics.com//inquiryDENTIS Co., Ltd., a 13-year-old company which was established in 2005, is an R&D specializing company with its own technical prowess which has research institutions specializing in medical LEDs, dental 3D printers based on dental implants. Through the company slogan, ‘Implant the Smile,’ they are striving to develop advanced products, technologies, and services to make beautiful and happy smiles for the customers.
ZENITH is a 3D printer developed by DENTIS exclusively for dental clinics. It is an advanced product that optimizes the degree of precision, output speed and range according to the dental clinical environment. DENTIS Co., Ltd. develops devices to exclusive materials with own its technical prowess with a separate research institution specializing in 3D printers, and provides an all-in-one service including sales, distribution, and A/S.
In particular, the devices developed with its own technical prowess are stabilized through numerous tests and clinical verifications. They have also reduced users’ cost by developing proprietary materials that are consumed in a cost-effective way. Particularly, as they are developing and supplying resin materials that are optimized for the distinct characteristics of the environment of dental clinics, their product quality is recognized by dental users worldwide.
The recently launched ZENITH D was awarded the Red Dot Design Award for its sophisticated product design and was recognized for its functionality as well as its design. ZENITH D has a water tank heating function which has the best output condition by maintaining a uniform internal temperature and increases DENTIS’ uniformity so it is printed out evenly at every area. In addition, precision Z-Axis Actuator can be used for high precision lamination, and the range of output is wide and it can be used variously. Equipped with superior productive power and improved user convenience.
The water tank adopts a sliding method so it can be replaced easily. Based on the accumulated technology of software, DENTIS developed a slicing program for ZENITH D, which is convenient and easy to use. Output data can be transmitted using WIFI and USB. It adopts a 4.3” colored touch screen on the printer so it can print out without PC control.
As it was developed as a core solution to realize fast and accurate digital treatment for patients at the dental chairside, its biggest advantage is its fast printing speed. It provides a total solution even for exclusive materials besides the device and S/W, it also offers systematic education and A/S so more people are using it not only in Korea, but also in countries including China, Japan, the U.S., Europe, etc. since its release in June, 2018.
