Combining In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) Devices with on-device AI technology
[INQ. NO. 2609E05] ZIODIA Co., Ltd., a company specializing in IVD medical devices and AI healthcare, will participate in KIMES BUSAN 2026 to be held at BEXCO in Busan from October 23 to 25, to introduce an integrated healthcare solution combining IVD devices with on-device AI technology.
With the vision of ‘promoting human health through early disease diagnosis,’ ZIODIA is developing IVD medical devices and digital healthcare platforms. The company aims to build an environment where primary care institutions and individual users can more conveniently check their health status by miniaturizing and automating complex diagnostic systems currently centered on large medical institutions.
ZIODIA’s core competitive edge lies in Bio-MEMS, Lab-on-a-chip, and microfluidic control technologies. It is independently developing diagnostic devices and dedicated cartridges capable of analyzing disease-related biomarkers from minute sample volumes and quantitatively interpreting fluorescence signals.
In particular, the company is highlighting its key technologies as a three-column diagnostic platform capable of analyzing various types of biomarkers in parallel, and on-device AI technology that processes data directly on the device. The company explains that by performing analysis internally without relying on external cloud servers, it can provide rapid results even in environments with limited network connectivity, and reduce security risks by minimizing the external transmission of sensitive medical and biological data.
Through this exhibition, ZIODIA plans to showcase its major product lines, consisting of MadaCheck, ZioCheck, ZioCheck Multi, and ZioSkin.

In-Vitro Diagnostic Platform
MadaCheck is an in vitro diagnostic (IVD) platform developed with the intuitiveness and convenience required for point-of-care diagnosis in mind. The user interface is designed to allow field users to operate the device without complex training, and it is designed for use in medical environments both domestically and internationally through multilingual support, including Korean and English.
ZIODIA is also expanding MadaCheck into a platform for oral health self-diagnosis and preventive care. The diagnostic kit and software have been integrated to allow users to conveniently test for harmful bacteria in their oral cavities, check results via a mobile application, and manage their health trends.
Recognized for these technological capabilities and market potential, ZIODIA was awarded the Grand Prize in the healthcare sector for oral health self-diagnostics at the 11th Korea Business Awards in 2025.

Single-marker Fluorescent Immunoassay Analyzer
ZioCheck is a single-marker fluorescent immunoassay analyzer that quantitatively analyzes specific disease markers and biomarkers. It was developed to secure the necessary data for analysis even from low-concentration samples by applying an optical sensor that detects minute fluorescence signals and a signal-processing algorithm. The focus was on enhancing the objectivity and consistency of results by reducing noise generated during the analysis process and extracting the necessary fluorescence signals. It can be utilized by medical institutions and testing laboratories for the quantitative measurement of specific biomarkers.
Multi-marker Analysis Platform
ZioCheck Multi is a multi-marker analysis platform developed to allow the simultaneous analysis of various types of markers with a single sample collection. It processes multiple diagnostic reagents in parallel through a three-row cartridge structure and instrument architecture designed in-house by ZIODIA.
It is characterized by its ability to reduce overall testing time and increase throughput compared to methods that examine individual items sequentially. The goal is to utilize it extensively in testing environments where infectious diseases or complex symptoms need to be identified by integrating multiple analysis results.
Beyond the realm of in-vitro diagnostics, ZIODIA is also expanding its AI-based personalized healthcare business. ZioSkin is a diagnostic assistance solution that analyzes scalp and skin images and quantifies their condition based on deep learning technology.

By applying edge-computing-based on-device AI utilizing high-performance Neural Processing Units (NPUs), it analyzes high-capacity images in real-time within the device. It provides objective data on indicators related to scalp and skin condition, balance, and severity, supporting medical professionals and administrators in consultations and the establishment of management programs. Since it can analyze images directly on the device without transmitting them to external servers, it has secured a competitive edge in terms of personal information protection and data-security.

ZIODIA plans to expand its scope of application to include kiosk-type products for professional medical institutions and aesthetic clinics, as well as home-device-type products for individuals and small businesses.
Based on its domestic technological development achievements, ZIODIA is establishing a foundation for overseas expansion targeting the Chinese, Southeast Asian, and North American markets. It has signed a business agreement with the Vietnam University of Agriculture and Forestry for clinical trials and joint research, and is pursuing the development of diagnostic devices suitable for local environments and the securing of clinical data. It has also signed a dealership agreement and a business agreement with Prenovo, a Chinese company specializing in diagnostic devices. The plan is to establish a two-way cooperation model that involves distributing Prenovo’s products domestically while simultaneously supplying the company’s proprietary diagnostic solutions to the Chinese market by leveraging Prenovo’s local sales network and experience in medical device licensing.

ZIODIA is expanding its business beyond human diagnostics into the field of in vitro diagnostics for animals. Based on cooperation with local institutions in Vietnam, it is preparing for clinical trials and the commercialization of diagnostic solutions capable of rapidly testing livestock infectious diseases, such as foot-and-mouth disease, on-site. Furthermore, ZIODIA plans to pursue a strategy to supply on-site diagnostic platforms to countries lacking medical and disease-control infrastructure in conjunction with the KOICA CTS project.
To enter the North American market, ZIODIA was selected for a global expansion support program organized by the Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center and has designated Canada as its primary target market. The company plans to establish a foundation for entering the North American market by formulating local medical device licensing strategies and identifying distribution and business partners.
“Through this exhibition, we will introduce our technology roadmap, which spans from single biomarker analysis to multi-testing and image-based on-device AI. We aim to grow into a global enterprise encompassing in vitro diagnostics and AI healthcare by expanding cooperation with medical institutions, testing laboratories, healthcare companies, and overseas distribution partners,” commented a spokesperson for the company.
