[INQ. NO. 2109E10] Fitrus Plus uses four different electrodes to let microcurrents flow through your body and measures various aspects of body composition. The body fat and bones in our bodies have low conductivity, meaning that they have small amounts of water and electrolytes. As Fitrus Plus determines the impedance (resistance) to flow of the current as it passes through the body, it provides estimates of body water from which body fat is calculated using certain equations. This technology is called, “Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA).”
Research has shown that body composition is directly related to health, and well-balanced body composition is associated with good health. These body composition components include Body Fat Percentage (BFP), Body Fat Mass (BFM), Skeletal Muscle Mass (SMM), Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Water Percentage (BWP), Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), etc. and they all have to be well managed to keep your health in good condition.
Unlike the other scale-type body composition analyzers or the gigantic ones, Fitrus Plus is extremely compact and weighs less than 50g, so it is perfect for checking your
body-composition status without limitations of time and place. In addition, Fitrus Plus has a built-in “PPG” sensor that can be used to measure the heart rate and oxygen saturation; an “IR” sensor for skin/material temperature measurement; and an accelerometer that is more sensitive and accurate than a simple pedometer for analyzing the activity level and the calories burned. These device parts help users to manage more specifically their body composition.
Users can easily connect Fitrus Plus with their mobile devices. Fitrus Plus-paired mobile devices can provide instructions for your activities or helpful tips and advice for your health management. Users can check their own body types (18 types for men, 36 types for women) and each categorized body type has different work-out recommendations and balanced-diet meal plans.
The result data of measurement is uploaded to the company’s cloud-based platform, and feedback is provided on the screen of the Fitrus App. OSD has big plans to commercialize this platform for the people who want to sell their online-training services and those who want to utilize such services.
