Central Management Software

[INQ. NO. 1304E11] Rifatron DVR can be remotely accessed, operated and configured via a LAN or the Internet using either the built-in web server named “Central Monitoring Software (CMS) or PDA with its exclusive PDA monitoring software. The CMS allows live monitoring, playback, searching through recorded footage, and also partial control of recorder setting. E-mail alerts can be sent out automatically to ensure rapid response in an emergency.

The company’s remote access software IMDVRS – CMS allows up to 32 users to access a DVR simultaneously. The software permits administrators to create new user groups – there are four user-levels available and each user- level has different authorities.

The software enables image data transmission up to 120fps with 64 channel connections. User may access DVR to view live images in the monitor. Each user can be split into various numbers in the likes of 1/4/6/8/9/10/13/16/25/36/64. Max speed of image data transmission is up to 120fps.

With the built-in two-way audio function, the user can play the voice data that was input using a microphone or an audio input device by the user in the IMDVRS-CMS and sent to the DVR, in the DVR system.

The configuration of the remote DVR setup screen is the same as that of the DVR ODS setup menu screen, which enables a user to change all the system settings in main/app. The setup is just like one is in front of the DVR. In addition, sensor relay can be controlled on CMS software. When selecting a DVR from the connected DVR list, it indicates the Relay Out state for the DVR system. The start button turns ON/OFF the devices connected to Relay Out.

“HRD Series” Premium DVR

Allowing H.264 D1 real-time recording and playback, HRD series employs ASIC chips developed in-house, and thus they ensure more stable operation and guarantee stronger price competitiveness.

Argus’s HLD series based on H.264 compression algorithm also carries reasonable price tags. It recently established various product lines from low-end to mid-level and high-end products.

DRAM Prices Grow Rapidly

dpgr1Fixed prices of dynamic random access memory(DRAM) chips have grown at the most rapid pace this year.

Market research firm DRAMeXchange set a fixed price of DDR32 gigabits(Gb) 256Mx8 1333MHz chip at $1.28 in the fixed half(H1) of March this year, said sources in the semiconductor industry. The price jumped 18.52 percent from $1.08 in the H2 of February, and is the highest since $1.31of early August in 2011.

The DRAM price fell to a record-low $0.80 in late November last year, but swung to modest growth since late last year. The price growth accelerated since the beginning of this year.

DRAM prices are rising, backed by the industry’s forecast that semiconductor manufacturers are cutting production, which will lead to a shortage of supply. In other words, major DRAM makers including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are reducing the production of DRAM for PCs, so PC manufacturers are stockpiling DRAM in case its supply runs low.

DRAM prices are rising, backed by the industry’s forecast that semiconductor manufacturers are cutting production, which will lead to a shortage of supply. In other words, major DRAM makers including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are reducing the production of DRAM for PCs, so PC manufacturers are stockpiling DRAM in case its supply runs low.

Meanwhile, prices of NAND flash that are embedded in smartphones continued to rise. The fixed price of 64Gb 8Gx8 MLC jumped 6.80 percent to $5.34 from that of late February, and the fixed price of 32Gb 4Gx8MLC also rose 9.51 percent to $2.88.

S. Korea’s Exporters Seek High Return at High Risk

South Korea has an export portfolio that seeks a high return at a high risk, suggesting the nation’s exporters are vulnerable to cyclical movements of the global economy. This has raised the need to reduce the nation’s dependence on exports of petroleum products that are sensitive to economic cycles and diversify export markets that are currently heavily concentrated on Asia.

Korea’s exports have grown at a rapid pace with a portfolio that comprises several highly profitable products and export markets at the expense of bearing a proportionately high risk, according to a report released by the Korea International Trade Association(KITA). In the portfolio, the share of petroleum products, optical devices, cars and steel out of total exports has increased since mid-2000s, leading to a larger profitability and risk.

Korea was expected to have the highest profitability among the world’s top seven exporters, and carried the second-largest fluctuation risk following that of the Netherlands. The nation carries a high risk because its major  exports are sensitive to global cyclical movements. The risk heightened especially because petroleum products have accounted for an increasingly larger share of the nation’s overall exports since 2003.

Korea was expected to have the highest profitability among the world’s top seven exporters, and carried the second-largest fluctuation risk following that of the Netherlands. The nation carries a high risk because its major exports are sensitive to global cyclical movements. The risk heightened especially because petroleum products have accounted for an increasingly larger share of the nation’s overall exports since 2003. Among the world’s seven largest exporters, Korea demonstrated the highest profitability expectation and risk. East Asia(37 percent) and Northeast Asia(13 percent), which account for over half of Korea’s exports, see rising demands for imports from the nation but the demands are highly likely to fluctuate.
