EDLC (Electric Double Layer Capacitor)

This product has intermediate characteristics between an Al capacitor and a secondary battery. Eco-friendly material is used, reducing risk of fire and explosion, thereby incurring no problems even if is damaged due to impact. It has the advantage of operating for a certain time even though the element is exposed due to problems occurring outside of the product compared with the secondary cell which is immediately heated or explodes. Its ordinary rated voltage is 2.5V or 2.7V. As it has a very long service life, the product can be used for one thousand hours at the maximum operating temperature of 70˚C. It also can be charged/discharged even at low temperature. Its cycle life is over 500,000 cycles, which is very long compared to existing rechargeable batteries.
As high-current charging/discharging is possible, there is not much change in characteristics even if charging/ discharging is carried out with a current of 10 times or more of the indicated capacity. The charging/discharging efficiency is as high as about 95%, and charging/ discharging is possible at -25 ° C compared with secondary batteries which are not charged at a subzero temperature. Therefore, this product is available in the market of wind power generation, auxiliary power, UPS, etc.

 

Hybrid AL E-CAP

Hybrid polymer capacitor (Conductive Polymer Hybrid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor) uses conductive polymer and electrolyte simultaneously, realizes the characteristics equivalent to those of the solid capacitor, and can be smaller and withstand higher voltage than the solid capacitor.
Hybrid capacitor has excellent high temperature reliability compared with the liquid electrolytic capacitor, and its frequency characteristics (high-frequency ESR) and low temperature characteristics (ESR) are equivalent to those of the solid capacitor. Its leakage current is stable compared with the solid capacitor and can withstand higher voltage. Moreover, using an electrolytic solution can improve the short failure of the solid capacitor.
